Return to the blog

Tuesday is November 2nd, midterm elections, and I'm not voting ("shock-u" as Bing, impersonating the Japanese, would say). Considering how much momentum the stupid Tea Party is gaining, I feel like I'm letting society down by not getting out there and voting.

This, plus the fact that I still haven't followed through with my plan on volunteering is what's been holding me back from blogging. I truly do write what's on my mind (I have a low brain-to-mouth filter) and I can't write on my blog without mentioning the guilt of my inaction.

So why am I blogging then? Well another factor came into play. I got a new phone--the Samsung Epic--and it has a pretty damn good camera. I've always felt that a blog is not complete without personal photos, especially if the author isn't a great writer. For so many years I've watched friends augment their online presence with pictures on their Xanga, Flickr, Picasa, Facebook, etc. Facebook threw me a bone with photo tagging, but besides that, I was left only with text.

Well not anymore. I display, for your viewing pleasure, my first photos!

Hmmm, this Blogger upload is not doing these pictures justice. It's getting late though so I'll figure it out later. I don't think I can still vote for the midterm elections but hopefully I'll find somewhere to volunteer soon enough. Then I won't have to feel so guilty coming on this blog >.<

  1. Get a tumblr! And I didn't apply for an absentee ballot in time for this year. :( I hate voting out of state.
